As some of you may have heard, BioMike has handed over the reins of Operation Fabulous to myself (edd) and maplesyrupghost of bitcointrading.com. While we haven’t been intentionally secretive, we haven’t made an official announcement yet regarding how each of us will be involved in running the site either, and I’d like to rectify that today.
BioMike will continue on as a technical advisor and will maintain a stake in the business.
Maplesyrupghost and I will be responsible for the direction and actions of Operation Fabulous and may be reached via the Contact Page.
We all have some exciting ideas for the future of OpFab and its role in the Bitcoin Economy, so stay tuned for more announcements in the days and weeks ahead!

The payout threshold has been lowered to 0.5 BTC. Also, when no bids are on an ad space, it now links to the ad space site of that ad space in stead of the Operation Fabulous main site. This way potential advertisers are directed to the right spot immediately.
Progress on developing the site up to the level it should be is low and I often got asked if I would sell it. I currently think it is better to just do that. This means it will be better for the advertisers, publishers, bitcoin community and also for me (being very busy with other things these days).
People who want to follow the discussion or might be interested in the sale check the following forum topic:

While fixing some visual issues for some pages in Internet Explorer, we managed to change the appearance of the site in such way in that it now scrolls through the whole page. This was an often requested feature of many people.
On the development side of Operation Fabulous, we will soon release a new part on our site that shows a lot more information about a site, allows bidding on that site and provides a portal for publishers to direct potential interested advertisers to that site.

Recently we obtained some ad spaces on sites that show adult content. Because we show thumbnails of screenshots in our publisher list, this might be offensive to some people and we’ve decided to not place thumbnails of screenshots from those sites. Instead we show a placeholder image stating that that site links to adult content directly.

Recently we started generating charts for the amount of visitors for each site that displays an activated ad space, to replace the old “today (estimated), yesterday and weekly average” stats that can be found on our site. Although these charts are intended for a new section on the site that is currently in development, we decided we could already use the generated charts for publishers.
Publishers can see those charts from within the website details section (“Websites” -> website name -> “Info”).

It seems the new home page didn’t render correctly in Internet Explorer. We made some small changes to the CSS code that shouldn’t have an impact on other browsers. It seems to be better now, but there are still some minor rendering problems on some pages. Those will be fixed at a later time.

The new home page has gone live.
Do also note the “More…” link below the advertisement space for our site, it links to a list with all the sites where we advertise on with some extra metrics.

Today we put our new blog system on the website. The blog will replace the old “news” section
on the main site, which allows us to make more frequent updates and keep the old posts as
reference.
The blog is the first of a series of updates for the main site that will be implemented
within the coming weeks.
